ENT came by and did the first trach change. They said everything went really well! I was downstairs starting my training when they came by so I missed it. I learned about cleaning around the trach site and suctioning out the trach.
They have her feeds back up to the amount she was on at home, and no more IV fluids so they took the central line out of her arm today. No more concerns about infection (from that at least!)
They are workng to get her sleep study scheduled by the end of the week to see if she will need CPAP while sleeping or if the oxygen is sufficient. They are also working to get in touch with the surgeon who did her g-tube surgery about switching out the tube for the button (which will make care, feeding and moving around in general much easier!)
She's back in splints - the OT had made her some new gloves last week and today PT came by, cast her feet and got those ready to go. Hopefully they'll be able to get more therapy-type stuff going in the next few days - all they've been able to do since she was admitted was stretching.
That's it for today - my training will continue tomorrow, first thing in the morning. They'll transfer most of the morning care to me and my training RT so that I can start getting used to it all.

Is that not the most precious Baby Girl... so thankful for those beautiful eyes telling how much better she feels ♡ prayers for you both as you work hard the next few days to get 'back to square one'
Such big sweet eyes! I love being able to see her face. She is such a strong little girl, just like her momma! You're both doing great! She is so blessed to have such loving parents and sisters!
