The ENT and Speech Therapist got the study done before I got there this morning. Apparently, Baby Girl didn't like having something else shoved in her nose so she was upset the whole time. They couldn't get her to latch well enough to see how she was swallowing BUT they got a great look at her vocal chords while she was screaming! They are moving just like they should so it's just a matter of time until she gets her voice back.
She is still getting breathing treatments, and still doesn't like them. She kept looking up at me during the treatment with this heartbreaking look in her eyes like I had betrayed her :(
Physical Therapy came by and stretched her out, and then came back later and put casts on her feet! The plan is to turn these casts into splints on Wednesday, cast her hands then, and turn those into splints and so that we can rotate days between her feet and hands. She was much more patient with the casting on her feet than with her hands.
The Speech and Occupational therapists also came by to work with the bottle and she was able to take a little more than 5 mL with some assistance. She got a couple of good latches without much assistance so it was a good start.
She's still at 1.5 L on her nasal cannula. Dr. G increased her feeding to 70 mL but shortened the time to one hour. Busy start to the week but everyone is excited about her progress!

Bless her heart! That's a lot to go through in a day and at the end of it all she seems so relaxed! What a little trooper! She is looking so big and bright-eyed in the pictures lately. So thankful for all of the improvements she is continuing to make. God is good!
