Back to "Reality" - Jan 6

It has been a loooong day... And it's only 2:30! Alarm clocks went off way too early but we made it out the door and Big Sisters to school on time and then got to sit in traffic trying to get to the hospital. One little wreck... Hopefully it won't be that bad every day!

We took the casts off this morning and the OT was very impressed with the increased range of motion she has in her wrists. She also commented that she has almost full range of motion in both of her elbows!

With this recasting, she also added a piece to start stretching out her fingers. We were able to get Baby Girl to cooperate with her right hand fingers, but not so much her left hand. Her left arm and hand have been tighter than the right to start with so it might have been just a little too much. We'll try again Wednesday!

She didn't get to work with the speech therapist today so we weren't able to talk with her about where her progress is and how she's doing in the overall scheme of things. Hopefully we'll get to so that tomorrow and get all of our questions about the surgeries answered by the doctors.

Here's some progress pictures from today:

She wasn't too happy after the recasting and kept looking up at me like "don't ever let them do that again!" Sorry Baby Girl - they'll be back Wednesday.
