They wanted to get one more good day of antibiotics in before moving forward with anything else, so that was today. Tomorrow, they'll start steroids to help boost her lungs and those will run for two full days (through Tuesday morning). She's on the schedule for Tuesday morning to get the ventilator tube removed.
They did increase her feedings today and her system is handling it well. They've also started slowly weaning her off of the sedation so that she's awake for longer periods of time, and so that she can also help by coughing some of the junk up. The breathing treatments bother her some so they'll give her a little bit of the sedative afterward to help calm her down.
Other than that, nothing to report other than she's stable and we've got a plan now. It could all change tomorrow, but that's where we're at today!
