Peaceful day - Jan 26

Today was a relaxing day - C got to spend some alone time with Baby Girl this morning, then I brought Big Sisters by for their visit, then I got to spend some time with her. And the hours went by way too fast! It's so good to finally see her whole face again - not looking through a mask or past a tube.

She's still in the warmer bed, but they don't have it warming so I'm guessing that means they're checking to see how well she's maintaining her body temperature so MAYBE - pure speculation - they're getting ready to put her back in a crib. MAYBE. That's what happened the first time anyway. They also put her in her swing some last night and again today and she was just fine in it.

They've also increased her feeding again, and it's no longer continuous feed so they're getting her back on scheduled feedings. That means we're one step closer to being back to working with a bottle also! They've also spaced out her breathing treatments so that she's only getting them every 8 hours instead of every 4. The RT said she struggled a bit during the first extended time but seems to be doing better with it now.

Last update - they were finally able to weigh her now that she's not weighed down with machines and she's at 7 pounds 7 ounces. She's lost about one pound since her surgery but with the amount she's eating, I don't think she'll have any trouble getting it back :)

Sleep tight Baby Girl!
